The climate of St Martin - St Maarten

Because of its subtropical location, St. Martin's climate is very regular with low temperature differences between the two main seasons:
• The dry season, from December to April with an average temperature of 24 °C
• The rainy season, from May to November with a average temperature of 28°C, peaking at around 32°C
The water is all year round between 25 ° C and 29 ° C.
The Hurricane season lasts from June to December.

St. Martin - St. Maarten is essentially a dry island where it rains often, although in some years there is not a drop of rain for several months. According to the season, the rains are very different: very short, very localized and fairly common in winter, generally longer, more abundant and less frequent in summer.

The wettest areas are the hills of the centre of the island because the low clouds are "breaking through" by hugging the tops. It even happens sometimes that, during a visit to Pic Paradis, you will be "in the clouds".

Whatever the season, the beaches are well ventilated and it is never too hot, which tends to forget that we are under the tropical sun here which is more intense than in other latitudes and particularly in the South of France.
